When you train agility you are improving your body's ability to maneuver, recover from moments of imbalance, rebound, and more. These are important when you think of your daily life. Your ability to handle falls, uneven surfaces, avoiding obstacles, and sudden changes in speed can all benefit from your ability to be agile.
What types of exercises train agility?
A proper agility workout will involve exercises that train for quick reflexes, coordination, balance, speed, and your response to changing conditions. These can involve equipment such as agility ladders, cones, and (our personal favorite) boxes, but you can also get a decent agility workout with no equipment at all. Some examples of these are plyometrics and types of sprints.
