Let's Set the Record Straight!
You need to workout for x minutes a day if you want to loose fat.
The truth is, not all exercises are equal. So to say you need to get 30 minutes of exercise a day 3 days a week or any other standardized recommendation is ineffective. In order to have an effective workout for the purposes of fat loss you need an workout that emphasizes intensity. This doesn't mean you have to go to extremes, but you do need to get your heart rate up. This is why a quick 10 minutes of high intensity intervals will be more beneficial than 3o minutes of moderate exercise. Looking for some ideas? Check out our suggested exercises below for turning up the intensity.
Yoga is boring and not worth it.
Although I can't attest to whether or not you personally find yoga boring, I can say you may have never tried some of the more fun or challenging versions. My personal favorite is aerial yoga. As for whether or not it's worth it, that seems to be a resounding yes. Yoga provides an excellent workout for improving and maintaining mobility, flexibility, and balance. All very important physical aspects in our daily lives. These are key no matter your lifestyle, but if you do workout or participate in athletics regularly these three factors will enhance your performance and help prevent injury.
Pre-workout doesn't actually help improve your workout, they just make you hyper.
